ABBA graduate from Superior University Lahore, the photogenic Javeria Javaid has been modelling for a year and gradually making a niche for herself in the industry. You! How old were you, when you started doing your makeup?
I have loved makeup since my childhood but I started using it when I was 16 years old.
You! What is your go-to makeup?
I use sunblock for face, tint for cheeks and lips.
You! When stepping out, do you wear make up all the time?
Not at all, but I use sunblock when I go out in morning or use any moisturising cream in evening time.
You! What’s an essential when you go to shoots?
Yes, I do use sunblock.
You! It’s summer time, any tip for school and university going girls?
You must use sunblock whenever you step out in morning and drink more water in summers for a glowing skin.
You! What is your favourite perfume?
I usually do use ‘Beautiful’ by Bonanza Satrangi.
You! Your favourite brand in lipsticks?
I usually use Bourjois Rouge Velvet Matte and KIKO Milano liquid lipstick.
You! Do you use lighter tones of foundations or warm tones?
I use lighter tones.
You! When you come back from shoots, what steps you follow to cleanse your skin?
I use makeup cleanser to remove my makeup then use light scrubbing to clean.
You! Hair gets damaged after straightening and blow drying. How do you manage?
I use oiling and hair mask.
You! What do you do to keep hair healthy?
I do use hair mask twice in a week plus oiling.
You! Natural makeup or zero makeup?
Zero makeup.
You! Advice for women who can’t buy expensive brands but still want to look good?
It’s not compulsory to use branded makeup for looking good. They can use local makeup but they must know how to effectively use them.
You! What is one cosmetic you cannot do without?
My lipstick.
You! When it comes to cosmetics, which brand do you usually use?
L'Oréal, KIKO Milano, Kylie Jenner lip kits, Maybelline, Makeup Revolution.
You! Do you use anti-aging creams?
No.
You! Do you use whitening creams?
Not at all.
You! What’s in your beauty bag?
My lenses, sunblock, tint, foundation, compact powder, contour kit, kajal pencil, mascara and lipstick.
You! When applying makeup, what do you dread the most?
I’m a makeup artist and I love makeup too much to dread anything.
You! Do you go to salon regularly for your facials?
No, I don’t go for facials because I clean my face regularly at night. I don’t want to use many chemical products on my face.
