It’s not often that you walk into a beauty salon and are able to get all the treatments you want under one roof. You may want to get a nice hair colour; some classy nails done or get a facial treatment. But, a day of such pampering would usually mean a trek to at least two different salons to get the results you want.
Recently, the Imperial Group opened the doors of a state-of-the-art beauty and wellness sanctuary, ‘The Krisalys’, in Karachi. The ceremony was hosted by Mr Salman Khan, the President & CEO of Imperial Group. The afternoon sundowner was emceed by model Fatima Hasan. The inaugural guests of honour were actors Ahsan Khan and Ayesha Omar, who spoke highly about all the myriad cosmetic, aesthetic and salon services offered under one roof. In attendance were also media channels, bloggers, influencers and socialites, who were treated to delicious hors d’oeuvres, aperitifs and refreshments. After refreshments, the guests were enthralled by a bridal fashion showcase: actress and model, Mareeha Safdar, (of Churails’ fame) dressed in an exquisite bridal ensemble by Tena Duranni; supermodel Fahmeen Ansari wore an equally stunning bridal outfit by Zainab Chottani; and both donned jewellery by Kohar Jewellery. They sashayed from the salon’s ‘Transformation Tunnel’ canvassed with striking in-house hair and makeup bridal transformations.
Mr Salman highlighted that the name is inspired by the transitional process of a cocoon transforming into a beautiful butterfly. Mrs Uroose Salman, wife and the woman behind Mr Salman Khan success, also shared the team’s mission is to venture nation-wide by early next year with another Cosmetic Tower in Lahore.
The vision of the brand is to transform clients only in the way they want to see themselves. The six floored tower includes a basement, ground floor and rooftop with interiors designed by ace architect Naheed Mashooqullah. There is a luxurious basement spa, a floor dedicated to aesthetics, dental and derma facilities; a cosmetic surgery and hair transplant space replete with recovery rooms and full-service men and women salon, including lash and nail bars.
After the gold confetti-filled official inaugural, the guests of honour, special guests including actors Zhalay Sarahadi, Mansha Pasha and Omer Shahzad, model Shahzad Noor, beautician Saba Ansari and designer Asim Jofa were invited by Catwalk CEO Frieha Altaf to a celebratory exclusive post-soiree on the expansive rooftop. The night concluded with a live performance by Zoe Viccaji and a live-set by Turhan James.
