Recent reports in the local media had suggested that the stars of Bollywood’s upcoming Tamasha, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor, might be visiting Pakistan for the premiere of the film. While the stories have now been dismissed as baseless rumours, the onscreen pair did manage to land in Lahore, but only via the internet.
Ranbir and Deepika held a special press conference to address the local media in Lahore via Skype on Friday. The two discussed their upcoming project, which also stars veteran Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh, and Ranbir charmed those present by bringing up his family’s long-lasting relationship with Pakistan. He recalled his father Rishi Kapoor’s trip to Pakistan for the shooting of Henna and said, “My family has visited Pakistan quite a few times for personal and professional reasons, and there are so many cities and location that I have to see.” He also expressed his willingness to work in Lollywood, given that the offer was a good one. “If it’s a quality film with a strong story, I’ll say yes,” the actor stated.
