Upcoming Pakistani rom-com Jhol has gone through its fair share of changes since the film’s announcement. First, we heard of leading lady Iman Ali being replaced by Urwa Hocane and according to recent reports, the movie’s title has undergone a makeover as well and is now Two Plus Two. The film’s male lead Bilal Ashraf confirmed the news to Instep and also spoke about working with the iconic Babra Sharif, who plays his mother in the movie. “She’s a legend. I’ve grown up watching her films and admiring her work. It’s a huge honour to be playing her son. Hopefully I will get to learn some pointers from her.”
The actor went on to explain why he’s excited about the venture. “The film is very fast-paced and the audience won’t feel bored for even a minute. It’s set during the course of one day and involves the characters in a crazy, roller-coaster ride. Basically I play a doctor, a smart and witty regular guy whose mother is after him to find a girl and settle down.”
Directed by Shahid Shafaat, who happens to be veteran actor Sania Saeed’s husband, the film also stars Ali Azmat and Mustafa Qureishi in central roles and is slated for release around March 2016. Bilal promises the audience will see a side of him they haven’t been exposed to yet. “I have a fun and carefree side to me that only my close friends are familiar with and that’s what I’ll tap into for the role.” The actor is also ready to step into his dancing shoes for the movie. “I’m a reasonably good dancer and I think that gives me an edge over other actors. The moves you’ll see on screen will definitely be better than what has been done in the current crop of Pakistani movies.”
Daniel Craig takes heat over James Bond comments
He may be the most popular British spy since Sean Connery’s departure from the 007 franchise, but the success of the role is not something that Daniel Craig would like to celebrate. As the actor essays the character of Bond in the upcoming film, Spectre, for the fourth time since taking on the role in 2006, he is also not mincing his words about what he really thinks of the film franchise that has made him a global acting phenomenon.
In an interview with Time Out magazine, in which he was asked whether he could imagine doing another Bond film, Craig said: “Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. … I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”
In fact, Daniel has made it clear that if he does reprise the role for a fifth time, it would, “only be for the money”. When asked who he thinks should essay the role in the near future, Daniel Craig, 47, responded: “Look, I don’t give a f***.”
Turning back on his previous words that he would continue to work in the film franchise as long as he is physically able to, Daniel maintains that he isn’t making a decision about Bond films for the near future. “I don’t know what the next step is. I’ve no idea,” he is quoted saying in a news report. “Not because I’m trying to be cagey. Who the f*** knows? At the moment, we’ve done it. I’m not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.”
Dilwale trailer to release with Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
Gone are the days when Shah Rukh and Salman Khan wouldn’t even see eye to eye. Enmities have been put to rest and both actors have called it truce. Proof? Shahrukh Khan’s much-anticipated film Dilwale’s trailer will be released with Salman Khan’s family drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, scheduled to release on November 12.
According Indian media reports, Dilwale’s cast and crew are currently on their last schedule in Hyderabad and the two production houses have decided to join hands for the unveiling of the trailer. ““Red Chillies Entertainments (RCE) would like to sincerely thank Salman Khan and Rajshri Productions for this wonderful gesture,” said Gaurav Verma, Chief Revenue Officer, Red Chillies Entertainments.
Ever since Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Salman’s chaotic affair with Aishwarya Rai, SRK and Salman Khan have had a strained relationship that media has time and again picked on. It’s refreshing to see the duo rekindle their friendship. Hopefully fans can also see them work together in a movie soon. For now, Dilwale, which will see the iconic pair of SRK and Kajol share screen space, has been slated for a December 18 release. The film also stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon and has been directed by Rohit Shetty.
