Naveed Raza is a highly praised actor whose passion for acting won him ‘Hero Bannay Ki Tarang’ in 2009 and from there his crazy journey of acting started. Starting his career with ‘Mehmoodabad Ki Malkain’, Raza continued to give hit drama serials including ‘Dehleez’, ‘We are a family’, ‘Dil To Kacha Hai Jee’, ‘Kis Din Mera Viyah Howay Ga’, ‘Daraar’, ‘Haal-e-Dil’ and the current on-air drama ‘Mera Dil Mera Dushman’. He has acted in a few movies including ‘Raasta’ and ‘Jawani Phir Nahi Aani’. Been a face of many brands, Raza is a philanthropist who religiously contributes in the health sector and currently is an Ambassador of Sind Aids Control Programme, IRD Pakistan and Kiran Sitara. How many serials you have done so far?

I guess all together I must have done 20 to 22 serials.

What is your most memorable drama serial to date?

‘Mehmoodabad Ki Malkain’

Anything that you would never let anyone take?

My space and comfort.

What do you usually wear in daily life?

Actors are fed up with being dressed up all the time. So, shorts and T-shirts is my pick.

What is your favourite thing in your closet right now?

I travel to countries and shop a lot so I love everything that is in my closet.

Last call that you deliberately didn’t attend?

It was of my servant who wanted to come back to work in this pandemic.

What irritates you most?

It irritates me to see people playing with their mobiles all the time.

You are possessive about?

My daughter and credibility.

What’s your annoying habit?

I’m extremely moody and loud.

What is your biggest fear?

I am afraid of losing my loved ones.

What bores you the most?

Doing nothing, not going to gym and not meeting friends.

Are you workaholic or shopaholic?

If I don’t work, I get frustrated and if I don’t shop, I get depressed so I work to shop (laughs).

Last time you lied about:

I lied to my daughter about a drawing that she thought I made it.

Any relationship lesson that you have learnt so far:

All relations are important and we shouldn’t take them for granted.

If you want to get rid of one of your habits:

Over thinking.

What are your healthy habits?

I love to kickbox, go to gym and eat healthy.

Your fitness formula?

Make workout your lifestyle like one eats and sleeps.

Happiness is...

Coming back home after work.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Iman Ali, Mahira Khan and list goes on.

Which superstar inspires you the most?

Robert Downey Jr.

Your wish that didn’t come true?

A call from Marvel studio to offer me the role of Batman.

What’s the last thing you bought?

Dumbbells.

Anything that you took for granted and later regretted?

My mother.

The last film that made you cry:

‘Miracle in cell No.07’.

You get super uncomfortable when…

When I have to hang out with people I barely know.

If you could get invisible for a day:

I would go on sets and see what people are talking behind my back.

First pay cheque:

When I won ‘Hero Bannay ki Tarang’ with 350,000 and bought a Cultus from that money which was my first car.

Something you miss in life after becoming an actor:

I miss being a common man. I wish to roam around like old days when I was not an actor but now people notice the way you walk, talk, and eat so you can’t be yourself.

Anything that has changed your life:

The day my daughter was born.

A rumour that you would wish to spread about yourself:

That I have signed a Netflix original series (laughs).

Who would you go to for a relationship advise?

Faysal Bhai (Faysal Qureshi) and Nabeel Zafar.

How do you like to spend the days when you are off shoot?

I watch movies, documentaries and TV series.

Three things no one knows about you:

I am a private person; I am very emotional and I am a foodie.

First thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

Think about what to do next and then go to gym.

Have you ever flirted with a fan?

(Laughs) Who doesn’t want to flirt with pretty girls? But I haven’t flirted with a fan.

What is one thing that always cheers you up when you are upset?

I have a sweet tooth so anything that is sweet.

What would you be if not an actor?

I would have been in health sector.

What makes you angry the most?

People driving wrong way.

What do you think this country needs the most?

We should stop living in groups. It’s high time Pakistanis need to get united.

Ahsan Raheem.

What’s the secret of your success - luck or hard work?

I never achieved anything by luck; I was not over-the-night star and had to work hard so hard work it is!
