After garnering much acclaim for his TV performance in Ishq Zah e Naseeb, actor Zahid Ahmed is expected to make his film debut this year. The film, titled Ghabrana Nahi Hai, will see him opposite Besharam and Sangat co-star Saba Qamar; the two were supposed to commence shooting in late March. We even saw pictures of Saba from the set circulating on social media as the shoot began earlier this month. However, it was halted given the directive with reference to the coronavirus outbreak.
The film is not being shot right now and there is no official statement regarding the shoot or the film’s release, which was initially expected to release on Eid ul Azha 2020.
Instep got in touch with Zahid Ahmed for a statement. He stressed that health and safety of the crew is the most important thing, not the deadline or the schedule.
“It is in the best interest of all the crew involved,” he asserted, adding, “Our society’s wellbeing is far more important than meeting any schedule deadline.”
Ghabrana Nahi Hai will be Zahid Ahmed’s first film and one is excited at the prospect of seeing him on the silver screen. Written by Mohsin Ali and directed by Saqib Khan, the film is a light hearted comedy perfect for family entertainment, according to Zahid Khan. It is being produced by Hassan Zia and JB Films, helmed by Jamil Baig.
