The right kind of makeup can make your entire look; get it wrong and well, it’s a complete disaster. And, makeup artists need to nail all the elements, every single time, to achieve a perfect look. Rea Rana is an emerging makeup artist who is already very popular on social media. “I’ve always been into makeup but never thought of taking it professionally. It’s been two years since I made my beauty blog but back then I didn’t even know what a blog meant. But, I learned slowly and gradually and a lot from my other fellow influencers as well, who’ve been in this way before me. It was a super spontaneous decision and the doors of opportunities just kept opening for me after that,” tells Rea.

Trained by Numra Waqas, Zara Imtiaz and Pivot Point Pakistan, the young makeup artist has a following of more than a 100k on her Instagram page. This week You! talks to Rea Rana about her work and her insight on the latest makeup trends and beauty tips...

You! How did you decide to start your own makeup studio?

Rea Rana: One day I was just playing with makeup with my relative on vacation, and she just randomly asked me to make an Instagram page (@reaxmakeup), so here I am!
