It feels as though great skin is just something some people are blessed with naturally. However, having a good skin isn't just a matter of good genetics. Your daily habits play a huge role in how fresh your skin looks, especially when it comes to celebrities. Whether they are on-screen or off-screen, it's as if there is some unwritten rite of passage that makes every single one of them have SUCH GOOD SKIN! And I don't just mean just clear skin, I mean skin that just glows from within, skin that does not age.

We may have a hypothesis about their 'secret' to gorgeous skin; which is typically believed to be in a long list of products and treatments that must cost more than our pay. But, believe it or not, that's not always the case. Most of the time, by just using some simple remedies and accessible products, you can achieve amazing results.

Keeping this in mind, this week You! talks to some celebrities who share their skincare routines and the secret behind maintaining a flawless skin...

Nadia Hussain

Anybody who has oily or acne-prone skin is well-aware of what a nightmare it can be when their skin breaks out. Model and beauty entrepreneur, Nadia Hussain maintains an amazing skin, even though she is in the same boat. Her makeup is always on-point, but even her no-makeup selfies are telling of what amazing skin she has. To keep her skin from breaking out, Nadia stays away from oil-based products, and rather uses water-based ones. "Since I have oily and acne prone skin, I use a deep cleaning astringent by Clean & Clear and I use peeling lotions that are available at my salon. For moisturiser, I like the one by Biotherm. When it comes to desi totkas, I use baking soda to wash my face and sometimes I will use rosewater mixed with glycerine," tells Nadia.

For her skincare regimen, she shares, "I make sure that I don't let my makeup on for the whole night. My skin care routine for night time and day time is quite similar, I wash my face with a scrub or face wash mixed with baking soda, after which I used the astringent. For day time, I use a serum and sun block, whereas during the night, I do the peeling."

Juggun Kazim

Model, actor, TV show host and now the owner of the recently opened Magnifique Salon & Spa, Juggun Kazim always maintains skin that looks so fresh. She believes that for skincare, one should moisturise, drink ample water and avoid getting harsh treatments. "Drink a lot of water and don't use soap and harsh things on your face, and make sure to always moisturise. I have dry skin but even people with oily skin should keep their skin moisturised with the right products, it's fabulous! Apart from that, I don't use any alcohol or fragrance based products on my face because it makes my skin breakout. I also don't like getting any harsh treatments done (like facials) because I feel it really damages your skin more than it does good," tells Juggun. "Moreover, we often don't realise the importance of sunscreen and sun block. One should use these because you can end up getting melasma on your face and skin issues which are sometimes irreversible," she adds.

In terms of skincare products, Juggun feels that a combination of home remedies and branded products works well for her. "I think there are certain remedies that work out really well and then there are some branded products that you can't do without. Like for makeup removal, I tried the whole rubbing oil all over your face and then wiping it off with a wet wipe or cotton, but that just made my skin breakout. For makeup removal and face wash, I definitely prefer branded products. However, I don't believe in very very expensive ones since everything has about the same stuff in it, some just come in a fancier packing. So, for me, home remedies are a first preference and then certain products. My favourite skincare products include pure apricot oil, Garnier micellar water to clean my face and I also like Garnier's undereye roll-on. And finally, I use the L'Oreal Revitalift face wash," she elucidates.

For her night time skincare, Juggun follows a very simple routine, "I just wash my face with Revitalift face wash and after that I moisturise my skin with a few drops of rosewater and apricot oil. I massage that over my face and neck and this suits me best. It really keeps my skin moisturised and looking good as well."

Zara Abid

Model turned actor, Zara Abid has gorgeous dusky skin that seems to glow from within. Interestingly, Zara actually prefers home remedies. "I believe that nothing is more effective than natural ingredients and your skin reflects what you eat. I make sure that my diet includes lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. Also it is very important to stay hydrated throughout the day, especially when shooting outdoors under the scorching sun, so I take plenty of water and fresh juices. And the one thing that I swear by is applying Aloe Vera gel on my face. It keeps my skin smooth and glowing." However, there are some products that Zara absolutely loves which include Cetaphil Foaming Cleanser, Clarins Clear-Out for spot control and Aztec healing clay. For her skincare regime, Zara reveals, "I don't have an elaborate skincare regime but I make sure that I cleanse my face properly before bed. Makeup can cause a lot of trouble to skin."

Sunita Marshall

Whether she is strutting down the runway or spotted on TV, Sunita Marshall does not fail to wow the onlookers. Even though the model and actor does not have an elaborate skin routine, she looks effortlessly flawless with beautiful glowy skin. Sunita loves her desi (spicy and oily) Pakistani food but also makes sure she is having a good share of fruits and vegetables. She also prefers home cooked food over dining out too often, which is also a good way to keep a check on a good diet. "Honestly, I don't do much. I drink a lot of water, sleep on-time and maintain a proper routine. This makes a huge difference. As for my skin care, I use a moisturiser by Physiogel and sun block by Skin Aqua. I don't get facials since they don't suit me. And while I do believe in home remedies, I am just too lazy to do them," shares Sunita.
