you & me

An overwhelming reverence follows all those artists who set their priorities right, follow principles, keep a benchmark for everything they choose to be a part of and rebuff to become a stereotype. One such name amongst those few set of actors is of versatile Adnan Jaffar who accepts only what his mind approves. A graduate of Mass Communication, Jaffar bade a fair goodbye to his steady job of a news anchor and got himself enrolled in NAPA to accomplish his acting pursuits. Jaffar’s back to back successful performances in Napa’s Oedipus Rex and Mantorama consolidated his position as an actor and soon he found big directors clamouring after him with hefty offers.

Year 2018 brought him much accolades for his meticulous performance in movie ‘Pinky Memsaab’, a bitter-sweet chronicle of self discovery netted around the lives of an ambitious investment banker, his beautiful socialite and a susceptible yet easy to be made fool maid; who entwined together in Dubai. On public demand, the movie makes it to the theatres once again whereas Adnan is heading to London to partake in UK Asian Film Festival as ‘Pinky Memsaab’ falls among the nominated.

If you go back on the timeline of his career you would find him exploring each trajectory of the media, and escalating to new heights with every project - be it theatre, television or silver screen. His versatility and passion can be witnessed in all the roles he has performed for in projects like ‘Jackson Heights’ by Mehreen Jabbar, ‘Mor’ by Jaami, Yasir Jaswal’s ‘Jalaibee’, ‘Manto’, ‘Jeewan Hathi’, ‘Orphic’ , ‘Chupan Chupai’, ‘Parwaaz Hay Junoon’, ‘Mera Saaein’, ‘Baandi’, ‘Coke Kahani’, ‘Talkhiyan’, ‘Aunn Zara’, ‘Behadd’, ‘Mol’, ‘Lagao’ and ‘Ye Raha Dil’.

Based on Navy concept, Adnan has also recently worked in ‘Laal’ directed by ‘Parwaz Hai Junoon’ famed director Haseeb Hassan, who has made this film for television and released on 23rd March. However, it is his upcoming movie ‘Project Ghazi’, for which Jaffar is pretty excited as he is playing a villain in the film. Let’s now look at the likes and dislikes of this actor...
