Pakistan’s diversity can be easily justified on different scales, be it the language, dressing sense, festivals or food. However, food is the strongest thread that holds this country together. And, the foodie inside us can’t thank our stars enough that we were born in Pakistan, which is the land of one of the yummiest cuisines in the world.
Since foodies are always looking to try new places, there is a new addition to the list of restaurants in the capital. Located in the heart of Islamabad’s Posh F7 area, ‘Chikpat’ recently opened its doors in the city with a glamorous launch party organised by Rezz Aly Shah along with Miradore Productions. In attendance were leading models and actresses namely Mahnoor Baloch, Sharmeen Ali, Zhalay Sarhadi and Cybil Chowdhry.
‘Chikpat’ in local slang means ‘as quick as it can be’. Following the same philosophy, owner Dr Aamir Rashid thought of creating a food brand for the people which was natural, healthy, wholesome, fresh, clean and above all has ‘tarka’ of rich and authentic Pakistani food.
According to the owner, “The challenge here was a food blend which is healthy, hearty, high-quality, affordable and extremely quick in being served. So after 10 months of research, development and business plan, our team came up with the concept of Chikpat which is sure to give your palate an adventurous ride.
This restaurant is the first of its kind where the food is extremely healthy and tastes great because it is made fresh every day from the purest possible ingredients from the finest possible source across Pakistan. Every item is handpicked, selected and then hand-made with sheer love for you. Our restaurant promises to give you inner happiness through food. And, we let you be in charge of our brand and control it the way you want. Our mantra is ‘choose your own happiness.’”
The environment is very warm and inviting. Moreover, there is seating inside and outside for those who want to take in the view and weather.
