Horoscopes maybe fun to read but they have a really complex science behind it. Your horoscope concerns all 12 zodiac signs, the nine planets and their positions to one another. In all that complexity, You! spoke to Fazeel Khan, an avid student of astrology, to help us figure out what the New Year holds for all of us. According to Khan, 2019 is a year of stability and fortune, but it’s important to let these things come to you naturally rather than doing any unnecessary experimentations. The events of this year will be governed by the influence of three planets that are making waves with their movements (or lack of). This includes Saturn which stays rooted in Capricorn; Jupiter which passes through Sagittarius; and Uranus which will be shifting into Taurus. Elsewhere, three Mercury retrogrades in emotional Water signs (Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio) in March, July and November mean it won’t be easy channelling emotions this year.
(March 21st - April 19th)
Work hard and be steadfast, Aries! It will be worth it in the end. This year would be a little trying for you but your hard work will pay off. You will get a good headstart for the year in January and May is great for money. “May to July is not an ideal time to pursue love. However during May, strategise your financial security. April to September will be challenging for which you have to persevere through. Don’t take a big step during this time,” foretells Khan.
(April 20th - May 20th)
Things are looking good, Taurus! For love, March is an interesting time to pursue it. In terms of career, it is a good solid year so have your eyes on the prize, and keep doing what you are doing. “It is a good start in January but be careful during April to September. Otherwise, it is generally good. For money, Venus and Jupiter are making a positive angle in August so it will be a time for good opportunities,” suggests Khan.
(May 21st - June 20th)
Geminis will enjoy a bit of everything this year. Khan predicts, “Due to Venus and Jupiter’s positive influence, it will be a good time to be social, as you will be attracting a lot of attention. Towards March, it will be a difficult time in terms of career and financial life. However, do not be on the fence about career in the last quarter of the year. Just make the move and it’ll turn out good for you.”
(June 21st - July 22nd)
For Cancerians, this year is great for side hustles and to pursue entrepreneurships as the new moon hits. That will eventually have cash flowing in the near future. When it comes to love, sadly, you might be flying solo. “Don’t be disheartened by it. Take this time to focus on yourself. It may seem like everyone has it figured out, but be patient,” offers Khan.
(July 23rd - August 22nd)
It’s a little tricky this time around for Leos. You get what you put into love this year. There might be deep-rooted issues which would surface and you would have to work on them. “Don’t hesitate to seek help (even therapy) if need be. It’ll turn out to be fruitful. Work on yourself,” encourages Khan. Since you are a fiery sign, there is positive influence of the Mars at the start of the year for career and money. In July, success will be yours for the taking.
(August 23rd - September 22nd)
Since you are easily able to separate love from logic, it’ll be a graph of love that rises. Although, January will be a rocky road for love, May is relatively better. August, however, is the best time to mingle and go out and find a potential match.
For career and money, initially, (January and February) will be combustible. Once that clears up it will get better. According to Khan, Virgos should take this in a stride as later on it gets positive in terms of money. May will be good for financial and money matters due to Venus and Jupiter’s positive angle.
(September 23rd - October 22nd)
Love is in the air for Librans! January and February are a good time for love due to Jupiter and Venus’ positive influence. And, by the end of the year, it gets better due to the new moon. However, by March, you may experience some delays in career due to a Mercury retrograde but mid-May is a good time for investment plans because of Venus’ influence. “Be steady and persevere,” Khan says.
(October 23rd - November 21st)
Scorpions, by nature you’re exciting so it’s a good time to use that energy to explore your love options. While there are a few ups and downs in career and money throughout the year, don’t
let that bum you out. “As much energy you will put in, you shall reap the benefits of it as
well. In March and October, you will be on your feet in terms of career and money struggle. However, August is an excellent time to be productive for specifically Scorpions, so do not miss that chance!” tells Khan.
(November 22nd - December 21st)
Sagittarius, this is your good fortune since Jupiter will be staying over for most of the year. So when it comes to love, money, career and everything else, it’s a great time for Sagittarians. For this year, Khan says, “Don’t be afraid of thinking outside the box in terms of investments early on in the year. Also, love will also be high on the charts during midyear in August thanks to Venus’ influence. So if you have been waiting to make a move, this year is your chance to do so.”
(December 22nd - January 19th)
Good news, Capricorns! You have a good year to look forward to in terms of love. The future looks bright to start something with your fellow Earth signs (Taurus or Virgo). And with Saturn’s influence all year long, it’s a strong year ahead in terms of finance and career. For you, Khan recommends, “Just learn to practice patience and everything will come your way!”
(January 20th - February 18th)
Hang in there, Aquarians! You may find it difficult to readjust to the changing energy that this year brings. However, at the end of June, there is playful energy, and even if you don’t have anything specific to celebrate, you’ll probably find yourself in the middle of a lot of plans. So, there’s something to look forward to in terms of love there. Khan suggests Aquarians to not lose hope as work might have a few hiccups. “You will be more sensitive to work issues due to the three Mercury retrogrades. However, it’s a good year in terms of money so don’t feel downtrodden.”
(February 19th - March 20th)
Word of advice, don’t settle for anything less than you deserve. There is a new moon in your sign at the start of March which will open the door for love, so go for it! Khan advises, “It’s a strong year for networking, earning extra from side incomes, and getting yourself out there for exposure. Moreover, for career and money, in early October, you’ll be able to combine charm with your killer instincts to climb your way to the top of the food chain.”
