And when it comes to marriages like fairy tales, we look up to our celebrity couples. Aiman Khan and Muneeb Butt, aka #Aineeb, had been courting for about four years before they tied the knot this year. Their nikah ceremony was held on November 21 and it was one of the longest weddings this year. There were many grand functions celebrated with a bang. The couple looked radiant in their ensembles. While Aiman donned outfits by Erum Khan throughout her wedding, Muneeb looked dapper in designer wear mostly by Deepak & Fahad, HSY, Nomi Ansari and Humayun Alamgir. The couple’s nikah was preceded by two dholkies, a bachelorette trip to Dubai, a bridal shower, mayun, mehendi, barat and valima. Aiman Khan and Muneeb Butt’s wedding was also one of the most talked about weddings this year which got viral on the social media.
Short and sweet
The diva Ayesha Khan shocked everyone when she suddenly announced her retirement from the showbiz industry. She later announced that she was engaged to Major Uqbah Malik and was getting married soon. The soon actually came sooner and Ayesha got married in a beautiful ceremony where only close friends were invited alongside family. Hamza Ali Abbasi and Gohar Rasheed both were the ones from industry who attended the wedding as they are Ayesha’s close friends too. Ayesha looked ethereal in a white traditional gharara on her nikah while on her wedding day, she broke the tradition and kept it cool in a peach pink trailed dress. On her Valima, she wore a gold dress with a tinge of black shade on her sharara. We must say, the actress really stood out in all the wedding festivities by keeping it unique and classy.
They met on the set of ‘Game of Thrones’ and fell in love while playing their characters Ygritte and Jon Snow. While their on-screen romance ended tragically, their real-life romance was cemented after they said their wedding vows at a castle in Aberdeen, Scotland. Rose Leslie and Kit Harington had the most beautiful wedding on June 23, 2018. It was well-attended by their Game of Thrones co-stars (Emilia Clark, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Peter Dinklage, Liam Cunningham and others), Hollywood pals, friends and family members. Moreover, there were also fans of the couple who eagerly waited outside of the church for a glimpse of the bride and groom.
Rose was dressed in a vintage-style Elie Saab lace dress. It was a classic fit-and-flare cut, sweetheart neckline with long, sheer sleeves. Her hair was worn in a short bob with soft curls with a flower tiara and a long, simple veil covering her face. Kit on the other hand looked dapper in his three-piece with pinstripe trousers and a contrasting ivory waistcoat.
Chopra and Jonas first sparked romance rumours at the 2017 Met Gala, where they walked the red carpet together in Ralph Lauren designs. But speculation about their relationship status didn’t go into overdrive until this past May when they were spotted spending time together. For her Western ceremony, the couple was dressed in custom Ralph Lauren, perhaps as an ode to the couple’s Met Gala date together. For their Hindu wedding, the couple was dressed by renowned designer Sabyasachi to complement their Mughal-esque ceremony.
The young heartthrob Feroze Khan got married to the adorably simple, Alizey Fatima, this year. Their wedding was a star-studded event and everyone from Sonya Hussyn to Fawad Khan was present with warm wishes for the young couple. Feroze’s sisters organised a grand function for the younger brother’s wedding. His entrance to the venue on a horse carriage along with band, bajaa and barat was the perfect beginning of the actor’s desi shadi. Just like every other Pakistani wedding, the nikah ceremony was an emotional event not just for the bride’s side but also for groom’s, as Feroze’s mother was also seen crying while hugging her son. If you are wondering what the couple wore on their big day, Alizey was given a very regal look in a HSY’s bridal jora and Akif Ilyas did her makeover, whereas the groom himself looked dapper in a white sherwani and sehra. For their Valima, the groom wore a tuxedo and the bride was in a heavily embellished metallic gold dress.
The bubbly Zara Noor Abbas got married to the talented Asad Siddiqui this year debuting them as another power couple of the industry. Zara has made a name for herself in a relatively short time with dramas like ‘Khamoshi’ and ‘Lamhay’ while she is all set to make her film debut with ‘Paray Hut Love’. Asad is also busy with multiple projects on television and the couple is enjoying great success on personal as well as professional fronts. Sajal Aly played the cupid for these two as she was the one who helped them get together. This is one beautiful couple indeed.
