You & Me!
Amar Khan is an aspiring actor who went for eccentric characters as soon as she stepped into the entertainment industry. Daughter of veteran actor Fareeha Jabeen, Amar made her acting debut with a telefilm titled ‘Chashme Num’ alongside Ahsan Khan; which was helmed and written by Amar herself and went on air on World Disability Day in 2017.
A film graduate from Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Lahore, the talented actor ventured into making short films while she was still studying filmmaking. This is not all; Amar Khan also has an excessive amount of theatre to her credit. She even went to India for some plays along with well-known director and writer Sarmad Sehbai and his wife, who were also her teachers at BNU. However, it was by the end of 2016 that Amar professionally started acting.
While in supernatural thriller, ‘Belapur ki Dayan’, which concluded recently, Amar Khan essayed the character of a dayan, in her period drama ‘Ghughi’ (currently on air) she plays the character of an abducted Hindu woman.
According to Amar, while doing theatre she grew in the milieu of some odd characters. “Just like the unconventional roles that I played on stage, I wanted to do something different on screen as well. And to be honest I have been fortunate enough to bag both the roles.”
In a short span of time, Amar Khan has surely proved that she is versatile actor, so this week, You! takes a look at her likes and dislikes. Read on...
