There are so many reasons to fall in love with fish; eating fish gives you youthful skin, improved memory, and a healthy heart. While a fried fish is a popular choice, there are plenty of other ways you can make this protein. We thought, why not try it with a desi spin! This week, You! collaborates with cooking expert, Lubna Shariff, who shares her finger licking recipe for Yogurt Fish. So, eat more fish and reap the rewards!

Ingredients

Oil 1/2 cup

Boneless fish fillet 1

Onions (grated) 1

Ginger and garlic paste 1 tbsp each

Cumin (ground) 1 tsp

Turmeric 1/4 tsp

Red chilli powder 1 tsp

Saffron 1/2 tsp

Salt to taste

Method

  • Heat oil, lightly fry the fish fillet.
  • Now in some oil, fry the onions till golden brown.
  • Add garlic ginger paste, turmeric, chilli and salt
  • Add yogurt and saffron, bring to boil, lower the heat and simmer for 10 mins.
  • Add fish fillet and cook for a minute.
  • Serve with white rice.
