Keeping this in mind, from time to time You! shares some interesting tete-a-tete with popular celebrities. This week meet Faiza Mujahid, one of the singers from Coke Studio Season 10. With a flair for rock music, Faiza first rose to fame with the famous ‘Bundeya Ho’ from ‘Khuda Kay Liye’. Her body of work includes featuring on the soundtrack of Shoaib Mansoor’s ‘Bol’, several drama soundtracks and, most recently, making waves in Bollywood lending her voice for ‘Jeenay De Mujhe’, a song from the score of ‘Pink’. Let’s see what are the likes and dislikes of this singer/composer who has been singing since 2005...

What is your specialized field of singing?

When I compose my own songs, the sound is more alternative rock or pop rock but I am into all kind of genres. 

What is your most memorable concert to-date?

My Dubai Concert.

Who was your favorurite rock/jazz star when you were growing up or in your teens?

Ali Azmat and Chris Collins.

Your claim to fame song:

‘Bundeya’.

How was your Coke studio experience?

Magical! Singing with such talented musicians and a huge orchestra was mesmerising for me. 

Have you released any music album so far?

Not yet.

What do you usually wear in daily life?

Jeans and shirt.

Your favourite international labels:

I don’t have any favourites. Anything which fits me or suits me.

 Your favourite international music celebrities: 

Def Leppard, Roxette, Dream Theater, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and I am a huge fan of Alanis Morissette.

Who is your icon in music industry?

Junoon.

How do you deal with your female/male fans?

With a smile.

One thing you like best about yourself?

That I am too laid back.

You like boys/girls who are...

Positive.

You don’t like people who are...

Negative, moody, people who are always complaining. Oh, and I DO NOT like artificial people.

You always feel happy in the company of...

TV and food besides my family and friends.

Being alone. 

Your all time favourite movie:

‘Lost in Translation’. 

Are you a shopaholic?

No.

What bores you the most...

I usually don’t get bored easily. If I do I zone out. 

When feeling low you prefer:

Being with the one who makes me happy.

Food.

The caring one. 

Are you a social person or a loner?

Not a loner for sure but I have my own group of friends that I like to hang out with. 

How do you like to spend your Sundays?

With friends and watching movies.

Your idea of romance:

Doing everything together. 

In your childhood were you a bright student?

Errrr NO!

Your favourite hangout:

‘Andaaz’.
