you & me
Model, actor and now a young director, Raeed Alam is a combination of good looks, talent and hard work. It was because of his friend’s encouragement that Alam approached a talent coordinator. This led him to his first break which was a commercial of Sony Ericsson directed by Saqib Malik. Later on a lot of offers came his way including National Food, Jazz, Pepsi, Djuice, Sprite, Rani Pulpy and many others. Alam also worked with director Saqib Malik as his assistant for seven consecutive years and completed his MBA in marketing from Hamdard University during this period. Almost two years ago this talented guy decided to test his directorial skills and surprised everyone by his debut commercial of ‘Maaza’ which he shot in Bangkok. Besides directing two music videos - ‘Teri Yaad’ and one for Persian singer Shadi - he has directed commercials of Nestle, Maaza, Telenor, Bahria Town among others. This is not all! Alam has proved his mettle as an actor as well. Some of his drama serials include ‘Rang Laaga’, ‘Kuch Na Kaho’, ‘Bahu Begum’, ‘Zameen Pe Chaand’, ‘Dosti Kay Side Effects’, ‘Seeta Baagri’, telefilm ‘Dadi Ka Pota’ etc. Let’s take a look at the likes & dislikes of this versatile actor and director...

Spending time with my son
I regret:
Not having enough time to spend with my family
My worst nightmare:
A day without gym and not being able to follow my fitness regimen
Something I hate
My anger
I feel over cloud nine:
When I get offers to direct commercials. And of course when I am being applauded for my work
If I could be another person I would like to be:
Given there is a second chance, I would like to be a philanthropist, an ascetic and a humanitarian
Something I would like to forget:
Forgetting things is an escape while learning from bad experiences is the right way
Something I would like to remember:
All the things that I have learnt from Saqib Malik
Something I dislike about myself:
I am very laid back and that never goes in my favour
Something I like about myself:
My patience, perseverance and energy
What turns me on?
Beauty in all its manifestations and being nicely taken care of
My idea of romance:
Going abroad with my wife for a holiday
What touches me the most?
Positivity
I don’t like:
Double standards
One thing I like best about myself:
I am very passionate
What bores me the most?
The company of back stabbers
The most unforgettable moment of my life was:
My first commercial with Saqib Malik and my wedding
My message:
Be positive and never hurt anybody.
