It was due to his good looks, height and physique that Rizwan Ali Jaffri entered the fashion industry. After walking the ramp for renowned designers and appearing in various commercials, Rizwan ventured into acting in 2012 with the serial ‘Pani Jaisa Piyar’, directed by Sarmad Khoosat. That is not all! Later he stepped into singing and released his album, ‘Yaran De Toli’ in 2013 and surprised everyone by winning the most coveted Lux Award of Best Album in 2014.

At a time when a plethora of remixes and covers are all the rage, Rizwan prefers producing original yet melodious tracks. He has completed his second album, ‘Mann Jhoomay Jaye’ and has already released a new music video, which strikes just the right chords with his fans. “The song is an upbeat soft rock number with a message for the youth to live and enjoy life to the fullest. The lyrics are by (late) Nasir Ali and Mujtaba Chouni has composed the song. The concept of the video was jointly conceived as we wanted a fun, happening song that could click with the younger lot. The video has been directed by Aslam Sighar and the beautiful choreography is done by Arfeen,” says Rizwan.

Rizwan Ali JaffriRecently, we also saw him on the big screen as well! In his debut movie, ‘Thora Jee Ley’, he played the character of a composed, focused and mature guy. Even though the film didn’t do well, Rizwan surely made his presence felt and got much appreciation for his acting skills. Regarding his experience about working in the movie, he shares, “It is completely different from acting on TV. In films you have ample of time to get into the character in order to connect with the audience.”

An MBA in IT from Punjab University, Rizwan is looking forward to his upcoming movie with Saqib Malik, plus some international offers. We wish him all the best for his future endeavours. Let’s take a look at the likes and dislikes of this versatile artist...
