Who did not watch ‘Hamsafar’? - the mega hit serial which put Fawad and Mahira on stardom status. The serial broke all records of popularity owing to its simple and romantic story line and strong performances by all the actors. We all hated the character of ‘Sara’ who was egoistic and possessive. This character was played by Naveen Waqar. The very fact that we all hated her in that serial speaks eloquently of Waqar’s acting skills. Not many people know that before joining TV in 2006, Waqar used to work for radio. From there she was spotted by a head of a prestigious channel who invited her to do a TV show for the channel. So far Waqar has done 6 drama serials, 2 telefilms and 2 fashion shows. These days she is busy shooting for ‘Kuch Na Kaho’, and preparing for a new serial. This week meet this humble, friendly and a very fine actress in our You & Me section.Naveen Waqar
