Us: How do you define success?

Anushay Bhutta: Honestly, for me, success is when Allah is pleased with me. In professional life, success, to me, is a balance between money, fame, and passion. Money gives you security, fame brings recognition, and passion keeps you motivated and happy. All three are important in their own way, and true success comes when you can achieve a bit of each.

Us: How did you carve a niche in the industry?

AB: I carved out a niche in the industry by staying true to my style and always delivering quality work.

Us: With an increasing magnitude of work, how do you manage to look different?

AB: As I said I try being true to my style. I don’t believe in competition. I try to be authentic in my own way.

Us: What initial challenges did you have to face when you stepped into the industry?

AB: I faced a lot of criticism, which was intense. Some people with even a small amount of power misuse it by putting down newcomers and treating them badly.

Us: Do you think that good looks and connections make a star?

AB: Yes, good looks and connections can help you land lead roles because they can make you more visible and appealing to decision makers. Good looks often align with the image that casting directors or producers are looking for, while connections can provide valuable opportunities and introductions to key people in the industry.

Us: How are you preparing yourself to be the next super model?

AB: I’m preparing to become the best model and actor by constantly improving my skills and staying dedicated to my work. I also focus on building my network and learning from experienced professionals.

Us: Of the models you adore, who really inspires you?

AB: Vaneeza Ahmad. I had the opportunity to work with her during BCW, and she was incredibly polite and disciplined.

Us: How do you deal with self-doubt?

AB: Alhamdulillah, my mom, Ghazala Afaq, and my mentor, Khawar Riaz, give me the confidence I need to overcome self-doubt.

Us: How has social media changed things for you?

AB: Social media has made a big impact on my career by allowing me to reach a wider audience. It’s easier to showcase my work, stay updated with trends, and build a personal brand.
