Us: What does success mean to you?
Vasia Fatima: Constant hard work.
Us: What is something you learned early in your career that helped you become a better actor?
VF: Never trust anyone but your gut instinct.
Us: What is the most challenging thing about this career?
VF: Dealing with hypocrites and double standards.
Us: Did you get any formal education for acting?
VF: We should learn from our seniors, listen to them. They were stars when things were not as easy as they are today.
Us: Who are some of your role models?
VF: My mother. She was very supportive and whatever I am today is because of her. She always stood by me through thick and thin.
Us: From all your roles so far, which one was the most meaningful to you?
VF: I did a short film which had a social message about letting girls study.
Us: Do you believe good looks and connections are the only things that make a star?
VF: I feel in our country, talent comes last, whereas the things that you have mentioned are everything. No one cares about the talent here and that’s very sad.
Us: How has social media changed things for you?
VF: It’s a very quick way to connect with our audience.
Us: How do you deal with self-doubt?
VF: I believe in self-improvement.
Us: Please share three pieces of advice for aspiring actors.
VF: Work hard, work on your craft, and never compare yourself to anyone.
