With so many wonderful Pakistani movies being released, we can proudly say that the music is as good as the content of our films. Confused? Well, we are talking about the recently held music launch of movie Hijrat. The movie is a love story which plays out in the foreground of the exodus of millions of people from Afghanistan to Pakistan following the Afghan War.

The event started off with a welcome speech and a brief introduction about the movie by Shanaz Ramzi of Starlinks. The film, which has been written and directed by Farooq Mengal, features veteran actors like Nadeem, Ayub Khoso, Durdana Butt, Jamal Shah, Mahjabeen, Saima Baloch, Noman Ijaz and upcoming stars including Asad Zaman, Rabia Butt and Rubab Ali. The cast of the movie shared their experiences on set spanning both Pakistan and Turkey.

The atmosphere of the launch event was light-hearted and charged, especially because of the presence of Ali Azmat. Ali has lent his musical talent to the movie’s original soundtrack. The movie’s music has been composed by Sahir Ali Bagga who is a well renowned musician in Pakistan Cinema. During the event, Ali Azmat spoke at length about the OST of the film and that the second song that he has sung for the movie is a club number.
All in all, the event proved to be a success!
