Let’s face it, even though the lawn war amongst numerous designers has lead to our wallets being left empty, we can’t help but enjoy the glorious designs each brand offers every season. The fact is each lawn brand is different from the other because every designer has her own signature style and a different aesthetic sense when it comes to creating designs and prints. Another designer that stands apart from the crowd due to her exclusive designs is the talented Tabassum Mughal.
Recently, the designer has launched her lawn collection 2016 - consisting of her signature regal designs. The collection reflects the designer’s signature style of using historical Renaissance and Baroque references dovetailed with a cornucopia of floral and architectural patterns. Sheer net overlays transposed onto sleek silhouettes and optional cape separates along with exquisite floral threadwork embroidery endnote the collection. The collection which comprises of 11 designs in two color-waves evokes nuances of scenic and rustic Renaissance gardens, with fern, flora and fresco motifs set against a flourish of vibrant hues and elegant floral and tribal patterns.
The collection was launched with an event organized by Take II at Café Aylanto, Karachi. The event was attended by celebrities and prominent media personalities. The launch event also featured a fashion presentation where leading models including Fauzia Aman, Sadaf Kanwal, Areeba Habib, Abeer Adeel, Ekra Fayyaz and Misbah Mumtaz were spotted in elegant lawn attires. The hair and make-up for the event was by Nabila’s NPro. The hair and makeup complemented the over all look of the models.
The plus point about this lawn collection is that it’s suitable for women of all age groups and the attires are ideal for parties, family functions and gatherings as well. Creative use of cuts and artistic style of hues have been put over the dresses that have overall made the collection worth a buy.
