Barbie

A look at the blockbusters…

In Greta Gerwig’s direction and co-writing, ‘Barbie’ becomes a prism reflecting feminism, and womanhood. Regardless of stance, Barbie is undeniably enjoyable with many nostalgic scenes. The film dives beautifully into the Barbie world with all shades of pink and chic costumes adorned by the cast. Led by Margot Robbie, the film creates a vivid universe with dance, heartfelt moments, and curiosity about human nature. The cast excels, particularly Ryan Gosling as yearning Ken. Issa Rae, Hari Nef, and America Ferrera deliver standout performances. Robbie cements her star status, contributing to a film that joyfully explores life’s essence. Catch this movie on the big screen at your earliest.

Oppenheimer

A look at the blockbusters…

Christopher Nolan’s depiction of the atomic bomb’s creation stands as a remarkable accomplishment. ‘Oppenheimer’ spans three interconnected timelines, heavy with dialogue, teetering on the edge of complexity. Nolan’s technical prowess reaches its peak during the Trinity test scene, where the first bomb’s unveiling becomes an unsettling and awe-inspiring spectacle. However, the film’s foundation lies in its performances - Cillian Murphy’s portrayal of the detached, brilliant, and narrow-minded J. Robert Oppenheimer, accompanied by a plethora of character actors who breathe life into his colleagues, collaborators, and adversaries. This blockbuster is a must-watch and if it is still running across theatres near you, then don’t miss out on the cinematic experience.

Get ready for a suspenseful ride filled with intrigue and action.

The group found themselves facing off against the antagonist Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), son of the late drug kingpin Hernan Reyes.
