The press conference announcing the first edition of I Am Karachi Music Festival was buzzing with positive energy. The Port Grand, Karachi made for a beautiful venue as members of the consortium took center stage to talk to the press about the upcoming music festival.
Nida Butt, core committee member and artistic director to the I Am Karachi Music Festival, made for an eloquent host as she opened the proceedings by thanking the entire press present at the venue for lending support, both to the music festival, and to the beautiful campaign. Standing at the podium, she reiterated some of the goals, struggles and the many successes of the I Am Karachi campaign before delving into the intricacies of the festival and opening the floor to the panelists, each of whom spoke about the necessity of this initiative as well as the upcoming music festival.
