Feedback

Salam Editor,

I follow Us magazine on social media and I really appreciate that you guys upload magazine on Facebook regularly. We don’t even have to buy the newspaper! I know we can’t deny the importance of printed version; we can roll on the couch with the magazine, fold it in any way to fit in our hands and save clippings of our favourite stories. I saved the copy of the Harry Potter special issue. Plus, I have pasted the clippings of the story “Blogging for bliss” in my journal; whenever I am short of ideas, I refer to the clippings.

But I still prefer reading magazine online. First, Us magazine looks much better on Facebook. Second, you can interact with other readers. Third, instant feedback (likes and comments) encourages writers way more than letters to the editor. Keep up the great work!

Hi Eddy,

“In the wondrous Lanka” (March 2 and 9) by Asif Nawaz was an amazing travel piece. We only think of America, UK and Switzerland as ultimate travel destinations and don’t even consider visiting Asian countries like Sri-Lanka, Nepal, Iran. Really enjoyed reading the piece.

Reflection

Narrated by Abu Huraira (R.A)

A man demanded his debts from Allah’s Apostle (S.A.W) in such a rude manner that the companions of the Prophet intended to harm him, but the Prophet said, “Leave him, no doubt, for he (the creditor) has the right to demand it (harshly). Buy a camel and give it to him.” They said, “The camel that is available is older than the camel he demands.” The Prophet said, “Buy it and give it to him, for the best among you are those who repay their debts handsomely.”
