Actor, director and writer Shah Fahad, with a strong background in theatre, most recently appeared in Dawar Lashari’s entertaining theatre production, Date Night that ran in Karachi for ten days earlier this month. Having performed in theatre for almost a decade, the versatile artist made his television debut with Sarmad Khoosat’s period drama Mor Mahal as Nawab Shujaat Jehan, just last year. And now the actor is all set to appear in Khoosat’s upcoming mini-series, Akhri Station, alongside actors Sanam Saeed, Nimra Bucha and Mikaal Zulfiqar.
“My character in the series has his doubts and complexes and he holds his wife responsible for everything,” Fahad told Instep about his role. “My wife and I are in a relationship that has a lot of problems and thus I end up torturing her all the time.”
Akhri Station will be based on seven episodes and tells the stories of seven women who are going through various issues in their lives (domestic abuse, depression, HIV, etc.). The one concerning Fahad is that of mental torture while Sanam Saeed, who plays one of the protagonists in the upcoming TV production, will essay the role of a woman suffering from depression.
The mini-series will go on air later this year.
