Poems forever
By Robert Frost
Snow falling and night falling fast, oh, fast
In a field I looked into going past,
And the ground almost covered smooth in snow,
But a few weeds and stubble showing last.
The woods around it have it--it is theirs.
All animals are smothered in their lairs.
I am too absent-spirited to count;
The loneliness includes me unawares.
And lonely as it is that loneliness
Will be more lonely ere it will be less--
A blanker whiteness of benighted snow
With no expression, nothing to express.
They cannot scare me with their empty spaces
Between stars--on stars where no human race is.
I have it in me so much nearer home
To scare myself with my own desert places.
By Tallina Tallae
I can see you change colour,
From bright ones to duller.
And I like that coat you're wearing,
Covered in lies I keep bearing.
The redness in your eyes, so severe,
A sight that pierces everywhere.
Looking back at those times,
When your deeds were beautiful crimes.
You were the one who once treaded the snow,
Walking beside me like my shadow.
But now you're lost behind the meadow,
Invisible in fields so yellow.
I gesture myself a smile, recalling what you wore,
So sweetly that it hid your evil,
So smartly that it fooled my devil.
Because you're the best at being the worst.
For now, you've wandered off so far,
To a place I know not of,
With plans I can clearly see,
Through your colorful soul.

It's the first snowfall of
this winter,
Soft snowflakes stream,
a gentle splinter.
Slowly and swiftly, they
roam the air,
Tender hues unfold everywhere.
Trees and plants are dressed
with care,
Delicate flakes adorn the bare.
Each one kisses the
ground so light,
Nature whispers in
symphonic delight.
My eyes are fixed on their
graceful dance,
A ballet of beauty, a
spellbinding trance.
Snowflakes touch me as they fly,
Filling my heart and lifting it high.
Nature's transition stirs my soul,
Nothing outshines this
winter’s whole.
I hold a flake in my hand awhile,
Its tender touch, soft and fragile.

It’s the start of January.
Winter is here,
And snow might appear.
Maybe holidays will be fun,
With less time in the sun.
For days are shorter and colder,
Nights are longer and colder.
We sleep under blankets, snug and tight,
Deep sleep is better for those with fright.
Playing, staying indoors,
Winter has finally come,
But sleeping still seems glum.
We could play with snowballs,
But how, without snowfalls?
Temperatures are higher—
Even though it’s winter
I wonder why
Now I understand the cause:
We’ve broken nature’s laws.
Winter has been affected,
As pollution’s effects are reflected.
People don’t care,
They harm the environment everywhere.
I can’t do much about it,
And no one can keep the fire lit.
Just the cold wind at night gives a shiver—
That’s why I love winter.
