Up-and-coming model Hammad Anwer was drawn towards the world of modelling. Watching his 13-year-old brother, Arshuman, rock his shoots fired up his ambition to dive into the modelling and television commercials scene. He also believes that it was divine guidance leading him down this path.
He acknowledges how important his family’s support has been on this journey. “My parents are my biggest cheerleaders; they see my potential and have been instrumental in helping me break into this field,” divulges Hammad, who graduated from Cathedral High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from UET Lahore, studied software engineering, and currently works remotely with some international firms.
He joined Citrus Talent to embark on his professional career and has appeared in various TVCs besides rendering shoots for brands like ONE, Attire, Haris Hassan, Breakout, Rabazka, and Ahmad Raza Couture. He draws inspiration from Hasnain Lehri and Chico Lachowski. When it comes to acting, Hammad is just vibing and waiting for the right role to come his way.
Us: What do you chase after: fame, money, or success?
Hammad Anwer: I’m all about success. I’m dedicated to my craft, and that’s my North Star.
Us: How did you carve out your niche in the industry?
HA: It all comes down to consistency, loyalty, sincerity, and a little bit of grooming magic.
Us: With all the work coming your way, how do you keep it fresh?
HA: I focus on my styling and overall look. By keeping things fresh and experimenting with new poses for each project, I stay in the game and keep it exciting.
Us: What hurdles did you face when you first jumped into the industry?
HA: Starting out, I faced plenty of challenges – no prior background meant I had to navigate through misguided advice and some serious taunting. But I stayed strong and persevered.
Us: Do you think only good looks and connections sell here?
HA: They definitely help a bit, but at the end of the day, it’s all about your hard work and sincerity in the field that truly matters.
Us: How do you avoid being exploited?
HA: I keep professional boundaries and only collaborate with trustworthy mentors.
Us: Are there cheat elements in the industry? How do you handle them?
HA: Some sketchy guidance and fake opportunities are out there. I combat that by doing my homework – researching and exploring options helps me find the real deals.
Us: How comfortable are you in revealing outfits? What limitations do you follow?
HA: I’m totally comfortable with all kinds of outfits – no limitations for me!
Us: How are you prepping to be the next fashion industry sensation?
HA: I’m learning from my past mistakes and working on honing my expertise. I’m always looking for ways to level up and shine bright.
Us: Which characters inspire you?
HA: Sherlock Holmes is a big inspiration. His intellect and observation skills are on another level.
Us: How do you handle self-doubt?
HA: I pray five times a day, and my faith really grounds me and keeps those insecurities at bay.
Us: What role has social media played in your journey?
HA: Social media has been a game changer, helping me connect with people who provide guidance on navigating this ever-changing landscape.
