A proud graduate of Lahore Garrison University, Manan stepped into the spotlight as Rafeel in the hit drama Meesni, and he has been raising the bar ever since. Lately, you can catch him as the fun-loving, carefree slacker in the drama serial Mohabbat Reza Reza (MRR), where he nails the role without breaking a sweat.

Us: How was the experience of working on Mohabbat Reza Reza?

Abdul Manan: Working on this drama was a totally unforgettable ride. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, honed my acting chops, and really highlighted the magic of storytelling. It’s a gig I’ll be proud of for ages.

Us: How was the experience of working with the MRR cast?

AM: Teaming up with such an ace cast and crew was a total blast. We had each other’s backs and worked hand-in-hand to breathe life into every scene. I picked up a ton about the nitty-gritty of filming, like nailing the right angles for lighting and getting comfortable with multiple takes.

Us: How was it working with your on-set siblings?

AM: It was smooth sailing and super supportive! We hit it off right away, which helped us create that genuine sibling vibe in our scenes.

Us: How is Manan similar to Arbaz from the serial?

AM: Arbaz and I share some common ground, like being fiercely loyal and protective of our loved ones. But Arbaz is a bit more of a wild card and more spontaneous than I am, which lets me tap into a different side of myself.

Us: What does success really mean to you?

AM: Success isn’t just a stroke of luck; it’s all about hard work, grit, constant learning, and some sacrifices along the way. My dream? To be a massive movie star!

Us: Please tell us something you learned early in life that helped you become a good artist.

AM: You must accept all the challenges as it’s a key.

Us: What is the most challenging thing here?

AM: I’ve learned to have lone wolf abilities and down-to-earth confidence.

Us: What helps you become a better artist?

AM: Believing in yourself and always leading others.

Us: Was it tough carving a niche in the industry?

AM: I guess it was God driven, and my parents told me that you have to become something, so when I was in school I took part in a tableau which got noticed and drew huge accolades; that’s how I developed an interest in fashion and showbiz.

Us: Do you believe good looks and connections lead you to stardom?

AM: Yes, I genuinely believe that good looks help you out, but your talent and commitment to your work help you play consistently for a longer inning.

Us: Who are some of the role models that you draw your inspiration from?

AM: I was a big fan of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan; his stardom inspired me to work in the industry. Also, I am inspired by Pakistan’s most acknowledged chocolate hero of the past, the late Sir Waheed Murad.

Us: How has social media changed things for you?

AM: It has turned out to be a lot easier nowadays for people to approach artists directly for work.

Us: Please share three pieces of advice that you would like newcomers to follow.

AM: Be consistent, humble, and never look back.
