Feedback

Hello Editor,

One of my favorite sections in Us is ‘Poets' Corner’. I've been wanting to share some thoughts on its layout for a while but got sidetracked with assignments. Currently, the layout feels a bit dull and doesn’t do justice to the wonderful poems featured each week. I also think the ‘Poems Forever’ section would benefit from including the poet’s picture. I hope to see a refreshed, more engaging layout soon!

Dear Ed,

Us is becoming a bit too serious for my taste. I’d love to see more exciting articles on celebrities, their interviews, and the latest movies. Adding content on fashion and makeup trends, as well as fun stories and lighter reads, would make the magazine more appealing. While topics like climate change and mental health are important, they may not resonate with everyone. I don’t think people want to read them in Us. Please consider my suggestions to make the magazine more engaging!

Thank you, Sahar, for sharing your thoughts! We think that creating awareness about global issues and youth challenges is essential for a youth magazine. However, we do publish celebrity interviews and fun features from time to time. Why not share a fun story with us? We’d love to consider it for Us!

Demands of Turbat’s students

Dear Editor,

We, the students of Turbat, urgently demand that the Government of Balochistan address the severe library shortage crippling our city's education system. As Balochistan’s second-largest city, Turbat has been grossly neglected, depriving us of basic educational resources essential for our academic growth.

Turbat has only one under-resourced public library, with an alarming shortage of course books and general literature. Students are forced to struggle for access to essential study materials, greatly hindering our pursuit of knowledge and academic success.

Our demands are clear: we urge the government to establish multiple, fully equipped libraries throughout Turbat, providing sufficient course books and a wide range of general literature to support student learning. Additionally, libraries should be digitalized to enhance accessibility for all, and librarians should receive training to effectively support both research and learning needs. We refuse to accept this educational neglect any longer. It is time to invest in Turbat’s future by addressing this library crisis. We call on the government to allocate the necessary funds, prioritize our education, and provide equal learning opportunities for every student in Turbat.

Tahir Ishaiq, Turbat
