Ingredients
* 1 pound cream cheese, at room temperature
* 8 ounces cheddar cheese, finely grated (about 2 ½ cups)
* 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
* 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
* Ground pepper
* 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
Directions
* In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, beat cream cheese with cheddar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and a generous pinch of pepper until well combined. Mix in 1/4 cup walnuts.
* Cover cheese mixture with plastic wrap, and chill at least 2 1/2 hours or up to overnight.
* Divide the cheese mixture in smaller portions and shape each into a ball.
* Spread remaining 3/4 cup walnuts on a plate, and roll balls in pecans to coat completely, pressing nuts to adhere.
* Serve chilled.

* 1 pound fresh mozzarella, cut into ¼-inch-thick slices or shaped into balls
* 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
* 1 teaspoon mixed herbs (thyme, rosemary, oregano)
* 1 teaspoon finely chopped spring onion, green part only
* 1 teaspoon chopped fresh coriander
* ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
* Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
* Olives, crackers, bread, and sliced cured meats (such as salami), for serving
Directions
* Combine oil, herbs, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Drizzle over mozzarella.
* Let stand for at least 20 minutes (or up to 1 hour).
* Serve with olives, crackers, bread, and cured meats.
