What can be said in New Year rhymes,
That’s not been said a thousand times?
The new years come, the old years go,
We know we dream, we dream we know.
We rise up laughing with the light,
We lie down weeping with the night.
We hug the world until it stings,
We curse it then and sigh for wings.
We live, we love, we woo, we wed,
We wreathe our brides, we sheet our dead.
We laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear,
And that’s the burden of the year.

I think I created you from the shadow of my soul
Lurking in the creaks among the phantoms and ghouls
You fed upon my anguish all these years
I revelled in the scars of broken fears
I think I created you from the abyss of my brain
Thinking about the disasters, cherishing the pain
Sad over the things that never really happened
Mad about the people who made it out triumphant
I think I created you from the darkness of my heart
You linger in my veins like the figments of dead stars
They broke me apart but you kept me together
I think when I am melancholic, I feel better.

The distance feels like an aphelion Two alienated humans;
Living together, One seems dumb
And the other deaf
Or may be both,
Like robots; whose relation
Is as emotionless as they are
It’s a cavern correspondence,
Dark and dismal.

I looked in the mirror
Smiling at me
A shadow appeared
From behind me
My soul ached
For togetherness and love
For happiness and touch
My heart skipped a beat
Remembering the past self
I never wanted to be
My fate is locked
Oh, dear lover!
I feel like a thorn
Not the flower you always see
Will I ever be able
To live a loved life
Or am I going to die
All alone, all alone
Just like you
