The issue of 21 July was really cool. First of all, the write-up about Allahyar and the 100 Flowers of God was very interesting. The interview of Aima Baig was too good! Aima is super-talented, and I love her songs. Also, in the issue of 14 July, Confessions of a failure was thought-provoking; I had never thought about failure that way, and I think Laraib Habib’s point of view will ease many more minds. Good going, Team Us!

In 14 July’s edition, Reflection on joining Physiotherapy by Ahmed Saffee Ali was just what the doctor ordered. My parents wanted me to become a doctor, but I wanted to do CA, so I went to med school. I became so depressed that my parents took me to a clinical psychologist. I told her I was doing my best but my heart was not in it. She convinced my parents to let me leave medicine and after wasting the government’s money for two years in a good public medical college, I was able to quit. I am now doing ACCA, and it is going very well for me. The reason for giving the whole chapter and verse is that I want all of you to know it is all right to follow your heart, even if it means wasting some of your precious time.

Mango madness (14 July) had this easy mango popsicles recipe. I tried it and my family loved it. In the fog (by Asbah Waseem) started well but has become somewhat boring. Too many conversations and not much happening. The story needs to be fast-paced to maintain readers’ interest. In the Comic Relief section, ‘Twitter wit’ is a good addition.
