POEMS FOREVER
By Joyce Kilmer
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

All the problems will be solved,
With the grace of Almighty,
Be positive,
Life is a gift from God,
It is more precious than pearls,
It is purer than gold,
Life is a dream for a passerby,
Not to be wasted on idle thoughts,
Think of the things you can do yourself,
Giving a cheer to a disheartened spirit,
A little reason to smile,
Is all you can give to a withered soul,
Content your heart with satisfaction,
Far, far away from the sordid hole,
Time is less, deeds are more,
Gather your breath, do your stuff,
Then you will know the meaning of life,
When you will gather joy in face of turmoil.

I rode on the tides of woe
I flew on the winds of despair
At some point, I let go
Letting the tides catch me in a snare
For I had lost myself long ago
For I was unaware
As I fell I heard an echo
A small voice deep in a lair
It pulled me back, before I knew
Everything was clear
I found myself in the throes
Of happiness, calm and peace
And all this I owe
To that voice, that effervescent glow.

I watched you today
Helpless and haunted
Those yellow leaves fell
As the winds taunted,
Crunching, while crushed
Howling, while brushed
Clustered in a corner
By the old gardener
There, there, O’ Yellow Tree!
Lie detached parts
That once belonged to thee.
By Gulrukh
One long swing,
Happy feet flying,
Fog all around,
I only see her smiling.
