While travelling is fun, bringing the right things with you and packing smart can be quite challenging, and most people become stressed when they can=t decide what to leave and what to take with them. Especially if you=re going to a place with a different climate from your city. Here are a few hacks that will hopefully help you pack smarter for your next trip.
Create a packing list
Unless you are an experienced traveler, don=t pack without a list. Forgetting things, especially if you are in a hurry, is natural, so it=s better to make your list at least a week in advance.
Pack light!
It often happens you don=t wear half of the clothes and shoes you brought with you. So be frugal with your clothes and shoes selection.
Right type of luggage
Pick up the correct kind of backpack or suitcase. Rolling luggage is perfect because you can pack your things nicely and they won=t wrinkle. A spacious backpack is the way to go nowadays. It is easy to explore the place with the necessary items with a backpack. Just make sure you select the lightest possible bag or suitcase to save some of the weight allowance on the bag itself.
Roll your clothes
When packing a suitcase, roll your clothes! It is more space effective, as it helps to reduce size of your luggage at least a little. And, more importantly, clothes don=t wrinkle as much.
Plan outfits and shoes
When knowing what kind of clothes you are going to wear, you can plan the shoes you=ll need, too. Shoes take space and are heavy, so try not to take more than two pairs of shoes.
Wear your heavier items while travelling
This one sounds so obvious, but it=s definitely essential. Wear your most massive shoes and the bulkiest jacket while travelling. It=s going to save you a lot of room in your bag!
Put your cosmetics in a transparent bag
It is useful to have a transparent one because it makes it easy when passing the control at the airport, and helps you see everything inside.
Leave some room for shopping
If you=re going to a destination that=s well known for the shopping, you=ll probably buy something and bring back home with you. So leave some space for that!
Carry your valuables with you
If you=re travelling on a plane, your luggage could get lost, or your items could get stolen. It=s best to have your passport, cell phone, laptop and other valuable things in your carry on with you all the time.
Pack a smaller bag
Have a smaller bag or backpack you can use during your trip to take whatever you need in a cool way.
Don=t exceed weight allowance
No one likes to pay excess baggage fees or re-pack right before check-in. To avoid it, use a digital luggage scale to check the weight of your bags.
