Having already trekked up to the foothills of K2 a few years ago, Nabila’s next mission was to scale the heights of Mt. Kilimanjaro, which she successfully accomplished, sharing the evidence on Twitter on Thursday night.

The custom gown, which was encrusted with 6,000 pearls, was worth $150,000. It went missing from her room at The London hotel on Tuesday when the 31-year-old actress was out. She told police it went missing between 8am and 9pm.

The morning after, Lupita had showed off the stunning accessories that complemented her dress in an Instagram post. The photograph of her Chopard jewels, satin Nicholas Kirkwood heels and a silver box clutch was captioned 'That was cool! #Oscars 2015 #DiamondsAndPearls'. Little did she know that her enjoyment of her dress would be short-lived.
Authorities were searching CCTV footage for answers. “We are looking at every scenario; when the cleaners go to clean the rooms they do it with the door open so that's a possibility,” said a spokesperson from the LA Sheriff's Department in a statement.
Latest update: An ivory dress strongly resembling Lupita’s turned up on Friday in a black garment bag stashed underneath a bathroom sink in the same hotel. The recovery of the dress was first reported by TMZ.com, which said that a person claiming to have taken the gown gave the celebrity website information about where to find the dress. Detectives were trying to verify whether the recovered dress is the same one Nyong’o wore.
