It was only last year that Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, known for his raunchy image in Bhatt films like Murder, Awarapan, Jannat  and Mr. X, announced that he will be penning a book on his son’s fight against cancer. It seems his idea is finally coming to life as he recently took to Twitter to reveal the title of the book. “So happy to announce the title of my book... The Kiss of Life: How A Superhero and My Son Defeated Cancer,” he wrote.

Co-authored by Bilal Siddiqi, the book is based on his son Ayan’s struggle with the deadly disease. Ayan was only three years and 10 months old at the time when he was diagnosed with cancer, and the book documents the emotional turmoil that his parents went through during the course of the treatment and beyond.

“The last two years have been the most trying phase of my life. Through it I have found two of my greatest teachers; cancer and my son,” Emraan told NDTV.

The book will be published by Penguin Books India in three languages; English, Hindi and Marathi and is expected to release in April, this year.

On the Bollywood front, Emraan is currently working on his upcoming films Azhar, the much-hyped biopic on Indian cricketer Azharuddin, and the fourth installment in the Raaz series, both of which are expected to hit theatres this year.
