Faakhir has come a long way ever since his Awaz days. From establishing a successful solo career to now venturing into big screens, sky is the limit for Faakhir. Recently, we have been reading a lot about Asim Raza’s upcoming movie, ‘Ho Mann Jahaan’, but little did we know that Faakhir has composed music for two songs in the movie.
One of the songs is by the recent Coke Studio sensation, Asrar, while the other one is by our crooning queen, Tina Sani. Asrar who instantly struck a chord with Coke Studio’s ‘Sab Akho Ali’ went on to mesmerise people with ‘Shakar Wandaan Re’ and this is the very song that has been featured in ‘Ho Mann Jahaan’. However, Faakhir came out with a new version of ‘Shakar Wandaan Re’.
As for the Tina Sani’s song, ‘Khush Peya Wussain’, Faakhir had complete freedom to experiment since it is new and had no prior melody or flavour attached to it. Working with Tina Sani was a dream come true for Faakhir, and why not... she is a living legend and an institute in herself. After this, he knows how it must be to be R.D. Burman or the likes when you get to compose for Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle and Kishore Kumar. Oh! We can so understand why Faakhir is so happy these days.
Asim Raza has played a very important role in Faakhir’s career - initially motivating him to move to Karachi for better opportunities to eventually getting him to produce music for films. Asim has also done some of Faakhir’s amazing music videos like ‘Mahi Ve’ and ‘Dilruba’ etc. Since the movie is about a music band we are hoping for some catchy tunes. This is surely one movie; we will be looking forward to the soundtrack of as well. Till then, let’s just wait and watch.
