With several hit films and drama serials to her credit, Mehwish Hayat has showcased time and again that she is the box office queen as well as a coveted name in television. Her presence beyond borders is just as strong. Vocal about global issues, Mehwish has remained quiet on the Khalil ur Rehman Qamar controversy, but that’s probably because she in working in an upcoming project that features his script.
Nonetheless, the actress has another accomplishment to her name; she will soon feature on a BBC production, My World, executive produced by prominent actor and director Angelina Jolie.

In the interview, she has spoken about breaking stereotypes, paving way for equal respect and pay for both male and female artists and the importance of social media in raising awareness and bringing social change, among other things. The interview should be out soon. Watch out for it.
