In drama serial Pyar Ke Sadqay actors Bilal Abbas Khan and Yumna Zaidi have been cast in unusual roles. As Abdullah and Mahjabeen, they’re both very simple and innocent - unlike other people their age. This is the reason they are often rejected, made to feel inferior as well as discriminated, even at home. However, the two seem to make a perfect match when they are together.
In the recent episode that aired last Thursday, it was Mahjabeen’s wedding that canceled as her groom-to-be married her friend while Abdullah was rejected by the love of his life, Shanze (Yashma Gill).
He is friends with Mahjabeen, whose father works for Abdullah’s father, so he went to attend her wedding. Given their circumstances, the two ended up getting married.
Bilal and Yumna, having played very intense roles in the past, brought their A game to the table as they delivered very convincing performances. The innocence, simplicity and the sensitivity their characters displayed is commendable.
Pyar Ke Sadqay is a welcome change on the small screen, offering a less serious yet sensitive story to viewers who are mostly fed narratives based on domestic issues.
