Tich Button, the upcoming film that marks the comeback of Iman Ali as well as the film debut of Farhan Saeed, has launched its first teaser. The film, a joint production by Urwa Hocane and Farhan Saeed under the banner of Shooting Star Studio, also features post-Khaani Feroze Khan and the very talented Sonya Hussyn (Moor, Ishq Zah e Naseeb).
The anticipated film’s teaser opens with a captivating Farhan Saeed jumping from a rooftop followed closely by Feroze Khan, who also does something similar. And pretty soon, with lush green lands adjacent to the two actors on both sides, they are shown running on dirt-laden road under an open sky. They make another jump from one rooftop to another and the camera pans in an aerial frame. Trains, water, Turkey, and a glamorous Iman Ali enter the narrative followed by an equally beautiful Sonya Hussyn. The two seem to have a bond. A carnival follows with Saeed arriving on a motorbike as vibrant colours take the frame.
Things start to get interesting as Saeed and Ali share the frame followed by Khan and Hussyn. It’s hard to tell what the narrative is because this is just a teaser. If anything can be said based on the teaser, it is that Tich Button, vibrant and full of life, not only offers a slew of stars and a film ready to release come Eid ul Fitr 2020 but will be the big break of Farhan Saeed. He owns the teaser and as he says in the end, when in love, one loses control of self in a blood-drenched look; it could be a complicated love story with layers of friendship and hope. Feroze Khan, too, looks very good, with a lot more confidence with which he carries himself.
The teaser doesn’t do enough justice to its female cast members who take a lot less space than their male counterparts. However, given it’s the first teaser, it is but of course expected.
What’s great to see is that Iman Ali has shed the skin of courtesan that she has essayed in films like Bol and Mah e Mir. Here’s hoping the ensemble cast is showcased as an ensemble in the coming teasers/trailer, etc. and the film offers a story that is original at its heart.
