All eyes were on Jennifer Lopez and Shakira who took the stage at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday to deliver a highly anticipated halftime show performance at Super Bowl 2020.

The superstar duo made history as the first two Latin women to co-headline the coveted Pepsi halftime show gig at the Super Bowl.

Besides Shakira and Lopez, Latin artists Bad Bunny and J Balvin, in addition to Lopez’s 11-year-old daughter, appeared as surprise guests.

Jennifer Lopez and Shakira’s 12-minute dual number included countless dancers and a list that featured some of the pop superstars’ biggest hits. Shakira kicked the show with her hit ‘She Wolf’, which she seamlessly transitioned into her single ‘Empire’. She also performed ‘Whenever, Wherever’ and Cardi B’s ‘I Like It’ along with ‘Bad Bunny’ as well as ‘Hips Don’t Lie’.

Then Lopez took the stage atop a pole for a high-energy performance of ‘Jenny from the Block’, and ‘Get Right’. Later, Lopez sang ‘Waiting for Tonight’ and showed off her moves on a pole, echoing her role as a stripper in the movie Hustlers. She was joined by J. Balvin onstage and the two danced to a remix of ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’.

The duo then moved on to Shakira’s hit ‘Waka Waka’ before switching back to ‘Let’s Get Loud’, at which point they wrapped up the performance and fireworks went off behind them.

This is both Lopez and Shakira’s first-ever Super Bowl performance. Last year’s show featured Maroon 5. Other big names to perform at Super Bowl halftime in recent years include Justin Timberlake, Beyonce Knowles, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Missy Elliott and Lenny Kravitz.
