Playing the role of Qalb e Momin’s mother, Husn e Jahan, actor Kubra Khan has spoken about her character and the impact it has had on her in multiple interviews since drama serial Alif went on air. Though she clarified that she hasn’t quit the entertainment industry, she did admit that the character touched her soul.
In a recent social media post, she penned a heartfelt note stating that she didn’t act it, but rather “lived” the role of Husn e Jahan.
“Every actor at least once in their life comes across a character, a script that changes their life. Husn e Jahan, you’re that moment of impact for me,” she wrote, adding, “You taught me strength, how to take a leap of faith, resilience, patience, selflessness and you will always be a huge part of me.”
She went on to say that the love she received for her character and the lessons she learnt meant much more than any award could.
Kubra thanked her producer Sana Shahnawaz for fighting for her, director Haseeb Hasan for putting up with her, writer Umera Ahmed for every word she had penned and her co-stars Ahsan Khan and child artist Pehlaaj ul Hassan for being amazing.
“Thank you for the pain, the journey, the stumbles, the falls and then holding my hand,” she concluded.
Alif is presently on-air on Geo Entertainment and stars Hamza Ali Abbasi and Sajal Aly in lead roles, aside from Manzar Sehbai.
