Aarish may not have won Pepsi Battle of the Bands (2019) against Auj but they did win over the judges – Strings, Fawad Khan and Meesha Shafi – to go through to the top two to become the runner’s up. Their collaboration with Pepsi isn’t over yet.
In collaboration with the brand, the music group ft. Nowsherwan Mehmood (Vocals), Humayun Mir (Drums), Fahad Sikandar (Bass), Nehal Azhar (Keyboards/Synth), Syed Haziq Ali (Guitars), and Ali Sohail (Guitars), with one music video to their credit – made first in 2018 – has released the music video for ‘Awaaz’, a single they first performed on PBOTB 2019.
The story of the song is about a young girl who defies odds to achieve her dreams. It feels familiar to Xarb’s ‘Deewar’, which is also about breaking down walls. So far only Kamal Khan’s ‘Mil Gaya’ (Strings) has done justice to such a theme.
Prior to the release of Aarish’s music video for ‘Awaaz’, Pepsi also collaborated with Black Hour who unveiled the song ‘Aik Nayi Subh’ as well.
The song comes just a week before the call for auditions teaser has been released, which means a fifth season is definitely on the cards.
