I call this the ‘5 am Club’. Robin Sharma may have written the book as a guide to successful people and the fact that they wake up early, and while that may not apply to many (if any) one from this troupe, we all did rise and shine at the crack of dawn to catch the 8 a.m. flight from Karachi to Lahore. The occasion: Toni & Guy Pakistan’s tenth anniversary show. The show, which includes a segment of hair styles straight from the catwalks of London, will be acclimatized to Pakistan with local accents in another segment. Several top designers have been involved to develop one look each and it’ll be extremely interesting to see what Shammal Qureshi and his capable team, along with Francesco Fontana and Gary France – Toni & Guy experts from London – come up with.
Meanwhile, the table talk at Jinnah International Airport covered a range of subjects, including Iqra Aziz’s next drama serial, Imran Ashraf and Amar Khan’s film – Dum Mastam, the fact that Sheheryar Munawar is watching three dramas these days and of course, Kubra Khan’s BBC interview and her role in Alif.
