We reported earlier this year that filmmaker duo Ammar Lasani and Kanza Zia are gearing up for their second feature film, titled The Window, which also won the Best Screenplay at the monthly Festigious International Film Festival in May 2019.
According to recent reports the casting of the film, which is co-written by Ammar and Kanza, along with screenwriter, producer, and president of Three Feather Pictures, Randy Zuniga, has been finalised.
Talking to Instep about the cast of The Window, Ammar Lasani revealed, “Though we had Pakistani-American actor Faran Tahir and Suhaee Abro, who starred in My Pure Land, on board, others who have recently joined the cast include veteran actor Faysal Qureshi and Sami Khan.”
He also informed that they are still in the process of finalising things. “Right now, all I can reveal is that The Window is a first of its kind project and is a co-production between our Starstruck Films and L.A based Three Feather Pictures,” he said, adding that the feature film is going on floors later this year and is slated to hit cinemas next year.
Apart from this, the screenplay of The Window is nominated for the Festigious International Film Festival annual film awards, which are scheduled to take place in December.
With films such as Zindagi Tamasha, Tich Button, London Nahi Jaunga and Quaid e Azam Zindabad amongst many others releasing in 2020, let’s wait and see what Ammar Lasani and Kanza Zia’s directorial venture - that too with a stellar star cast - has in store.
