Veteran actor, host and producer Faysal Qureshi, who last appeared in drama serial Baba Jani featuring Saba Hamid, Sawera Nadeem, Faryal Mehmood and Madiha Imam among others, is gearing up for his next television project, tentatively titled Deewangi.
The actor will once again share the screen with actress Faryal Mehmood, who can currently be seen in drama serial Daasi alongside Adeel Hussain and Mawra Hocane.
In a bid to know more about the forthcoming series Instep got in touch with Faysal Qureshi who revealed that he will essay the character of Rohail in the drama. “Rohail is a simple man who easily gets manipulated,” he said, before adding, “It is a family drama and the character Muntaha (played by Faryal Mehmood) is the one who manipulates everyone. And it is because of her devious ways that everyone will get affected negatively.”
Written by Saima Akram Chaudhary of Suno Chanda fame, the drama is directed by Najaf Bilgrami. Besides Faysal Qureshi and Faryal Mehmood, the drama serial has an ensemble cast including Ali Ansari, Faizan Shaikh, Yashma Gill, Maryam Mirza, Gul e Rana and Jinaan Husain among others.
Apart from this drama serial, Faysal Qureshi is also gearing up for his first film, Sorry – A Love Story, to be directed by Sohail Javed. It also features Aamina Sheikh and Zahid Ahmed in key roles.
