After consistently topping the ratings chart and winning hearts of its many viewers, Danish Taimoor and Madiha Imam-starrer Mera Rab Waris concluded earlier this week. The drama tackled usual issues such as love affairs, marriage as well as extra-marital affairs. However, one unique angle of the project was how the female protagonist was inclined towards religion.
Named Ayesha, essayed by Madiha Imam, she incorporated religious teachings in almost all of her actions and advised the same to her loved ones.
Educated, sensible and religious Ayesha gets married to Haris (Danish), who is rich, outgoing and more like a spoiled brat. The two had very contrasting personalities but they end up forming a close, healthy bond. However, those who were envious of them make sure it doesn’t remain the same for too long and looked for ways to create differences between the two.
Haris questions Ayesha’s character because of his scheming brother in law; Ayesha refuses to give any explanation and leaves the house. Upon learning the truth, Haris apologizes to his wife and promises to stick together through thick and thin. He also proves it during testing times before the drama meets a happy ending.
Some major highlights of the recently concluded drama include how Ayesha’s parents support their daughter and stand by her instead of blaming her for anything and how intelligently Haris’ sister Nimra, essayed by Anumta Qureshi, handles the matter when things begin to affect her relationship with her husband, played by Mirza Zain Baig.
