Singer-actor Junaid Khan, who is currently starring in drama serial Yaarian, featuring Ayeza Khan, Momal Sheikh and Muneeb Butt in key roles, is all set for his upcoming drama serial, Makafaat, which is scheduled to air on Geo Entertainment in October.
The cast of Makafaat includes Zarnish Khan and Hira Mani in lead roles, aside from Junaid. He was recently in Baku with Zarnish to shoot a segment of the play, the artist shared via a recent video posted on social media.
He further went on to say that Makafaat is a family drama, produced under the banner of Mastermind Productions, while it is directed by Ahmed Kamran.
In an earlier interview with Instep, Junaid Khan shared about his character, “My role has various dimensions; I essay the character of an emotions-driven guy who belongs to a well-off family. He is the sort who goes out of the way to prove his love for his family members. He is really caring towards his mother and is also a doting brother. In the upcoming project, you will see me as a sweet guy who at times becomes emotionally weak and hence is easily manipulated.”
The ensemble cast also includes Atiqa Odho, Ali Ansari and Marium Nafees in addition to Junaid, who is gearing up for his debut film Kahey Dil Jidhar opposite Mansha Pasha.
