When it comes to philanthropic activities, actor and host Ahsan Khan has always lent his whole hearted support to social causes. The fact is that celebrity endorsements have an impact over people and their influence carries enormous weight. Recently, the Udaari actor has been selected as the Brand Ambassador for Human Development Foundation (HDF). The foundation aims to empower communities/individuals and provide them with the tools and resources needed to achieve and sustain a better life.
“It’s an honour to be associated with the Human Development Foundation,” Ahsan Khan told Instep. “I believe that our country has bestowed us artists with so much and as Pakistani citizens, it is our responsibility to spread goodness in any way we can,” he said, adding that humanity is above everything and it is high time we support such causes and make Pakistan a better place to live in.
The actor-host will be representing HDF in Los Angeles next month where he will raise funds at the annual gala for the underprivileged communities of Pakistan.
In the past, the star has been associated with different charitable causes such as women empowerment, right to education for underprivileged children and rehabilitation of sexual abuse survivors, to name a few. Last month, Ahsan Khan was also appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for Children’s Literature Festival that recently took place in Karachi.
On the work front, Ahsan Khan is currently appearing in romantic comedy drama serial Shahrukh Ki Saaliyan, which follows the love story of a young couple and the difficulties they face in order to tie the knot. Apart from this, the actor is also hosting a talk show that features famous celebrities as guests.
